GULD-FIKA hos Badis
Yes that was what was written on the calendar last friday at Badanstalten in Strömstad.
At 11 o´clock it was time for coffee break, a golden one.
More thoughtful and always interested people of my rowing is hard to find, both early mornings, midday or late afternoon I´m always greeted with big smile´s and warm welcome, when I come to them to harvest my workout´s. And believe me, they could easily get sick of me, cause by now, Im almost a part of the decor .....
Freshly baked bun´s, cheeses, cakes, golden cake and coffee was served. A very nice coffee break, with, laughter, anecdotes, lots of rowing were discussed too, mostly the World Champs of course.
Thanks for a nice time everyone.

After a the camp in Aviz, Portugal, I am now since a few days back home in Strömstad again.
There's no place like home!
Though this time was gone actually really good, both the good company of Norwegians and sunny weather made the camp very successful.
It´s almost time for departure to New Zealand and World Champs.
But before it time to fly, there´s a few things to do,lot´s of training of course. Not to mention the washing and then packing the bag which is perhaps one of my weaker sides:)
In four days, I'll probably have time to pack, I hope.
Träningsläger
Europeans
Sometimes it is said that you don´t win a bronze but loses the silver.
I won the bronze!
and I was close to both silver and gold.
Montemor-O Velho in Portugal hosted the European Championships, in a newly built course. The course was still a bit of a construction site when we arrived, the evening before the start , they were still working, with the asphalt on the cycling path.
We had sunshine and warm weather, during the three days of competition.
With the last race of the World Cup, and the bronze medal fresh in my mind, I home with having only one view, to reach the podium.
14 entries, in my class W1x.Among the girls you could read names of both world champion and bronze medalist from the World Champs last year, and medalist´s from last year's EC.
It was time to dig deep.....
First it was heats, then semi-final and FINAL.
Final days are always special, a lot of feelings, thoughts and dreams come forward. These are the days and minutes I work for, to race the finals and compete for the medals.
The race turned out to be what was expected, full speed from stroke one,no one was gonna give anything away for free, but I was ready to fight for what I wanted.
A strong sprint the last 300m took me up to the podium, I had won the BRONZE!
I'm extremely happy for the medal and the race.I show to myself that I belong in the top, incredibly fun to get back home with this result in the bag for more training and the continued refinement for the World Champs in New Zealand.
I will enjoy every session ;)
